Victory Day Fteigns for All The sun was bright and the air was crisp when Jackie Lehman and Brad Blackim, both of Hutchinson, were crowned the i980 HCC Homecoming Couple during the other activities of homecoming weekend Oct. 23-25. Their attendants included Carla Shepard and Mark O'Neal, represen- ting Black Cultural Societyg Karen Roth and Marc Lindholm, represen- ting Collegiate 4-H 81 Ftodeog Kelly Patrick and Robert Gillespie, dorm representatives, Thais Fowler and Steve Davis, representing the Home Ec. clubg and Jan Krehbiel and Greg Johannes, O.E.A. representatives. Homecoming activities started Thursday night with a Powder Puff football game at the stadium bet- ween the sophomore girls and the freshman girls. Sophomores won! Friday morning a pep assembly gathered students for the introduc- tion of the six final couples. The cheerleaders and Jazz Band also were featured. Voting took place from I0 a.m. to I p.m. Saturday was a day of activities for all ages. The day started with a welcoming assembly for parents with the Dragonnaires performing. The Alumni hosted an informal reception with the Jazz Ensemble playing. The homecoming parade involved entries from HCC, surrounding high schoolsg and special attractions like a baton twirling group of little girls from Salina. That afternoon HCC played a victorious game against the Pratt Beavers. The busy day came to a pleasant close with a semi-formal dance at the Student Union with Disco '78 supply- ing the music.
