apartments HCJC Students Enjo Independentliving In apartment living, students reflect the novelty, prob- lems and enjoyments of living away from home. What some apartments lack in class, the inhabitants make up for in decoration, which varies from apartment to apartment. Empty bottles of good times gone by and posters of popu- lar personalities are found in a typical student apartment. Living in an apartment is a valuable experience for any college student. In addition to studying, sleeping and partying, he learns the importance of assuming responsibility. Apartment living offers a chance for Pam Reber and Teresa Myers to study in a re- laxed atmosphere. ,W 16 I. ,As Apartment decoration varies, but the standard for the college stu- dent is a bottle collection. studentjobs Odd jobs Feature College Students In order to remain at HCIC, many students find it nec- essary to have jobs, ranging from gas jockeys to butchers to night club singers. A HCIC has its own job placement center, headed by Director Carl Skoch. By the end of the spring semester, the center placed 224 students in the 379 jobs available. The most common employment was waitressing and babysitting for women, and industry jobs for men. There were, however, students working at unusual places and doing unusual things.
