DIVISIO : PHYSICAL SCIE C Integral Part Of Educated Man The Division of Physical Sciences and Mathematics at Hutchinson Junior College includes various courses in Math, Chemistry, Graphics, Physics, Astronomy, Meteo- rology and others. These courses are designed to meet the objectives of the science student and the students interested in broadening his cultural background. Because of the conviction that understanding science and mathematics must be an integral part of an educated man, the division attempts to foster such an understanding by detailed studies of a number of important developments within each of its subject matter areas . Forty credit hours are offered in both organic and inor- ganic courses of chemistry. In mathematics, the offerings are based on the requirements of students planning to spe- cialize in some branch of physical science or engineering, but it also attempts to satisfy the needs of students in other curricula.
