These images were still inutile because the building was without character. Images - buildings - then students. Yes, intriguing students - each different and unique. Each experiencing in his own way laughter, tears, joy, sor- row - all adding to the moments which create that most brilliant of images, Reality. These images, individ- uals and experiences help to unite and build the total character of a unique college - Hutchinson Commun- ity lunior College. We, the Dragorfs Tale staff, have attempted to cap- ture those moments, those experiences, those emo- tions, which are the essence of Hutchinson Communi- ty junior College. A hap- pening that initiated them from the holds of high school to the freedoms of college. New experiences, different environ- ments, and most of all-responsibility. There were people to meet, places to go, schedules to learn. And whether it was the excitement of orientation, cheering for the football team, attending club ac- tivities, or listening to class lectures, fresh- men found this happening to be a memo- rable one. tp .. ., id 1 2 S rs 5 791 gQ E ,vu Q I W? is 4' A SA vt at l - rf ' '-. The squad hosted the Hutchinson invitational, participated in invitationals at Coffeyville and Butler County and the triangulars at Dodge City, Garden City, Pratt and Arkansas City. The state golftournament was held May 14 at Butler County where a twenty-four hole tournament was held. The nationals were held the first week in june at Roswell Military Academy in New Mexico. 146 Form is very important for a tee-off as Coach Goldsmith instructs Bob Philbrick. Bowling A P.E. Substitution In 68 and 69 bowling classes continue for sopho- mores atHClC.This course has been found to be stimu- lating as a substitute for P.E. Both males and females participate in this active sport. Skill and coordination is developed as bowling progresses. Bowling is not as easy as it looks. It is stimulating as a spectators sport also. Everyone learns his or her average and competi- tion begins. Many students show great form in bowling at Countryside Lanes. Carolyn Barnes demonstrates good form at bowling.
