Lana Ratliff, Editor Undoubtedly, this year was one of many new and exciting happenings at Hutchinson Junior College. No longer did the students meet in the old Dragons Inn, fighting the smoke haze to see one another. Instead, HJC'ers graduated into a new student union, complete with lounge, snack bar, game room, and cafeteria. Students were faced with a dif- ferent kind of school life. Even more than before they felt as if they were really on their own. The dormitory added a new dimension to HJC also. As- 4 semblies were held in the auditorium and the after-thc- game hootenanny was the rage. The Dragorfs Club sported new sweat shirts, and helped cheer the football team to its Hrst championship since 1949. This year also brought the usual last minute cramming for the hnals, and, in a lighter vein, heated I Doubt It games. All in all, the 1963-64 school year was one of memories- a year of firsts.
