The Dean Says. . We are exceedingly proud that holds currently the National Championship in Debate and Forensics, third place in the nation in basketball, and fourth in track. Our football, tennis and golf teams also have done commend- ably. The vigor and the worth of the Student Commission and all student activities are evidenced by this pictorial record of a memora- ble year. That sixteen students made a straight A average and seventy others maintained a B or better average, speaks well for the seriousness of our students. Distinction in studies and activities is the foundation on which we urge you to build the future. Some will go immediately into the world of work and into the myriad duties of creating a home and rearing a family. Many others will complete some years of professional training before entry into and development of their future careers. Strike hard! Work hard! Develop professional and civic teamwork with an increasing circle of friends. Your sincere purposes, abilities, and varied talents can soon be creating the finest of homes, invigorating the church of your choice, fostering the many community improvements for which you will naturally favor and strive. On the top level of any vocation to which you aspire, your skills and leadership are needed whether the field be local, statewide, national or international. The highest hopes and the sincere interest of the faculty and administration of Hutchinson Junior College will go with you always. Dean ,-.--...- ....... . .-Q..-.P-1:- w w 1' ELLSWORTH R.
