Mariani The brass section ofthe band along with seventy singers from Tech presented a Christmas Choral at both the Hotel Lafayette and the Hotel Statler- Hilton. On June 26th it performed at Kleinhans Music Hall in a program of music for the Buffalo Schools. The music program at Tech provides an excel- lent opportunity for students to learn, tree of charge, almost all musical instruments and, as is evident, plays a great part in the enrichment of the cultural program of our School. Tech is fortunate to count among its many organi- zations one of the finest bands in the state. Com- posed of approximately sixty young men and conducted by Mr. Norman J. Vester this excellent musical aggregation performs at all assemblies as well as on many special occasions such as Class Day and Graduation. In the near future the Band will present its annual Spring Concert in which a tour is made of all city central and elementary schools. Tnaclz Club This year the Track Club begins its fifth year. It was organized to help students interested in track activities achieve better physical condi- tion and is proud of its record in this field. Regular practices were held each week at the 174th Armory on their indoor track. 3 ln the spring, track teams were entered in the Buffalo State Relays sponsored by Buffalo State Teachers College. Also, in the spring, an inter- club meet was held with handicap events in order to allow inexperienced runners to compete with the varsity on even terms. Our many thanks to Mr. Edward Gottsch for his encouragement, guidance, and assistance during the year.
