Tech is fortunate to count among its many organi- zations one of the finest bands in the state. Com- posed of approximately sixty young men and conducted by Mr. Norman J. Vester this excellent musical aggregation performs at all assemblies as well as on many special occasions such as Class Day and Graduation. In the near future the Band will present its annual Spring Concert in which a tour is made of all city central and elementary schools. Ochterski The Student Council, which consists ot one representative from each homeroom, has striven to improve Tech in every way possible. The past year it put into action the Better Dress Cam- paign which was suggested to us by the Inter- High Student Council. Mariani The brass section ofthe band along with seventy singers from Tech presented a Christmas Choral at both the Hotel Lafayette and the Hotel Statler- Hilton. On June 26th it performed at Kleinhans Music Hall in a program of music for the Buffalo Schools. The music program at Tech provides an excel- lent opportunity for students to learn, tree of charge, almost all musical instruments and, as is evident, plays a great part in the enrichment of the cultural program of our School. Our many thanks to the man responsible for our success in this respect, Mr. Norman J. Vester, band director and instructor in music. l l t
