vdand6 CM The Rifle Club has been active at Tech for twelve years and has been a member of the Na- tional Rifle Association for two years. The club was founded to provide instruction and practice to the sophomore, iunior, and senior students in the safe handling and use ofa rifle. Through com- petitive shooting with other rifle clubs the mem- bers have become quite efficient at this sport and have obtained ratings from the National Rifle Association of Pro-Marksman, Marksman, Marks- man First Class, Sharpshooter, Expert Rifleman, and Distinguished Rifleman. In addition to its regular activity the Rifle Club has participated in one school assembly and, also, has sponsored each year the pencil sale in connection with the basketball season. Our aims have come nearer their mark through the assis- tance of Mr. William Freer, our faculty advisor, who is quite a sharpshooter himself. -1.1 f'--fx p ei. F RIFLE CLUB President ......... Nowak i ' o ' Hi-Y This marks Tech Senior Hi-Y's 50th year of service to our school and community, thus making it one ofthe oldest clubs at Tech and, no doubt, one ofthe oldest Hi-Y clubs in Buffalo. President Tramontana has been working very hard to have all members promote our ideals of clean speech, scholarship, sportsmanship, and clean living. In carrying out this plan he has had the full sup- port of the entire club membership as well as the YMCA. Each Tuesday we meet at the downtown YMCA to carry out the various activities of our program. These activities include bowling parties, dances, ioint meetings, religious gatherings and service proiects for the community. The club members wish to express their sincere thanks to Mr. Joe Allen ofthe YMCA and Mr. Louis Lenoci, our faculty advisor, for their help in enabling us to carry out our program successfully.
