The twelve schools participating all strive for the coveted Harvard Cup which is awarded after the playoff game on Thanksgiving Day. mem, Because of its rugged training and high condition- ing, Cross Country is considered the toughest sport of the year. But the fine efforts put forth by our 1958 team proved that none was too hard for Tech's ath- letes. First and third All High berths went to the deserving men, Ron Smith and Joe Marando. Although our team finished sixth in interhigh competition, the team should be commended for its hard work and fine spirit. This year has been one of preparing our team for gains in the coming year. However, we were not without accomplishments which we can point out with pride. Tech's basketball team gained the honor of having two men, John Buczynski and John Spanitz, chosen on the All-High team. One of the Highlights ot this season was the Varsity-Faculty Basketball game. High man forthe Faculty was Mr. Milledge with twenty-five points. The game provided many thrills especially the last eight seconds when the Varsity managed to score its winning points bringing the score to 43-42. Many thanks to our coach, Mr. Witmer, for the supervision ot our training this season. BASKETBALL TEAM Row One E. Reynolds, J. Whitehead, C. Tomasi, G Caputi, M. Kowalski, N. Neu, T. Brown Row Two G.
