Rarely do we have two teachers who have given such faithful service in the same school. Mr. J. Alfons Schieb started in the Science Department at Technical High School in 1919, and Miss Gwendolyn Price in the Social Science in 1924. Since their marriage both have devoted many hours of faithful service in the extra duties that alert faculty members find and solve. Each has provided many extra helps for their students and have ventured far beyond the normal limits of the subiect in order that students not only pass their subiects but find pleasure, delight and acquire a great fund of knowledge in that particular field of knowledge. Now in their retirement may they continue to find rest and recreation to the same full measure of enjoyment that made their stay at Technical so profitable for all of us. Mr. Sam Block, a teacher of social studies at H-C Technical High School, has left us in order to accept the position of Assistant Principal at School 38. Mr. Block was a teacher at Tech in the old building on Cedar Street and then left us for several years to teach elementary school children. Mr. Samuel Block Since his return to Tech Mr. Block has been active in debate work and an the staff of the Techtonian. We shall miss Sam very much and in many ways. He was always willing to give help where help was needed, be it to individ- ual students or for the benefit of the school as a whole. Mr. Block, we wish you every possible success and advancement in your new assignment as an Elementary School Administrator.
