The 'l'eclrnical lligh School Varsity Band has long been one ol the largest and nina outstanding service organizations ol the school, participating in graduation exercises, Christmas, lzaster, and all as- sembly programs and special events. A wide array ol' music is studied, rang- ing lroin the compositions ol Chopin, classical in nature, to those ol Ierome Kearn, which are ol' the modern variety. Among the projects which have brought honor and recognition to the band and Technical Iligh School are the lollovxing: a program ol marches and football songs performed at the classic PAL football game and a number of Rogers and Ham- merstein lavorites played lor a group ol outstanding Western New York business- men at the Mass Explorer Induction Serv- ice. The Chemistry Club of Technical lligh School incorporates the abilities of all stu- dents interested in chemistry. By doing this we project further into the study of chemistry, covering more phases and Helds of chemical engineering. Our program lor the year is varied in many ways and satisfies the interests ol everyone. Plant trips, lecture-demonstra- tions are included to suit the tastes ol every member. The advanced work is benehcial to the seniors in acquainting 65 them with iutnre fields of eniploynient in the various fields of chemistry. This year has been especially profitable and worthwhile, thanks mainly to the very capable officers and committees. The members of the Chemistry Club would like to express their sincere apprca ciation to the club's faculty advisor, lVlr. VVilliam Block, for the assistance and guidance he has offered us throughout the year.
