An annual Spring tour of various elementary schools is being planned and anxiously awaited. Awards in the form of letters and certi- ficates are presented at the end of the year. Also awarded at this time is the highly cov- eted Band Oscar, presented to the out- standing Senior bandman. The members of the band are proud and happy to contribute their efforts and service to the school. They would like to extend their deep and sincere gratitude to Mr. Nor- man J. HE Technical High School Varsity Band is the largest and most active service organization in the school, providing music for special occasions, such as open house and graduation, in addition to all the assem- blies. At rehearsals, held four times a week during school hours, music of both classi- cal and modern composition is studied and prepared for use in future performances. This year the band has brought honor to itself and Technical High School through the various concerts it has given. One of these was at the Conference of Teachers of Erie County whose guest speaker was Mrs. F.D. Roosevelt. Also, a collection of school
