The Girls mall Council The desired goal of every member of the Girls Small Council is to serve Hutchinson-Central High School in every way that she can. Under the experienced, able, sympathetic guidance of Mrs. Edith Lankler, our adviser, we have tried to live up to this aim in every way. The executive group is known as the Small Council. It consists of 21 members-the chairmen of the various committees and the elected officers. This year's leaders are as follows: Angeline Canale, presidentg Louise Heinz, vice president, Ann Mc Crillis, secretaryg Caliope Panayiotou, treasurer, Geraldine Lewis, recorder, and Madeline Di F iglia, corresponding secretary. A The Large Council which consists of approximately 300 members assumes many duties throu hout the school. We strive to maintain order in the lunchroom, on the stairways, in the halls. in the lilrrary and in the office. Girls on the Large Council volunteer their services, as they fully realize that to receive anything valuable from their education they must learn to serve. One project we sponsored this year was the knitting of an afghan for the Red Cross. We feel that the council has done excellent work and know it can be depended upon to continue with as willing a group of girls next fall.
