' of the Class of 1943 As usual, during the Junior Day exercises, the officers presided in the assembly. The amusing play, directed by Mrs. Edith Lankler, the procession, the archbearers, and the prom', were all parts of the joyous occasion. The officers were elected by majority vote of the studentsg therefore, they can be considered the popular choice of the entire Junior class. It is the custom to give a junior boy the I-li-Y Award, for outstanding service, scholarship, and athletics. Miss Henrietta Penny, the junior class adviser, deserves much credit for helping to make this day a success.-She has been assisted by a hard-working committee. Junior Officers VV ith the helpful advice of Miss Kate L'Hommedieu as studyroom adviser the junior girls of 200 have immensely enjoyed this year. Studyroom 200 has won several honors this year. One is the achievement of holding the second highest position in the school in the selling of War Savings and Defense Stamps. Another is receiving the Third Division Attendance Balmer for every quarter of this year. These girls are represented in all the various sports such as baseball, tennis, soft ball and badminton. Every girl is looking forward to her senior year next year with keen anticipation. Studyroom 340 Under the kind and able leadership of Miss Anna Downs, and with the cooperation of all the girls, 340 has come through an exciting year. We have aided Hutchinson's victory effort by purchasing stamps and bonds steadily so that we have led the rooms several times, and have always been high on the list. We have had many on the honor and merit rolls. Three members of the debate teams were from 3404 the Junior vice president and the irl marshall are from -340. We have enrolled in the Junior Red Cross, and are knitting sweaters, afgians, and scarves. Studyroom 'W 290 Some of Miss Kate Daley's boys this year belong to the junior class, and some belong to the sophomore class so that, for the first time in years 290 is not rimarily a junior boys' studyroom. Many of the boys have joined the Junior Red Cross, some of them have made the honor roll, and some are on the merit roll. They have taken part in both interroom and school sports. Their record in the sale of War Savings stamps and bonds is one they are all proud of. The boys look forward to being seniors and juniors next September.
