JH CHHUHIBLES 'Ezra ln the beg1nn1ng of the school year of 1945 1946 there entered 1nto the Hustonvllle Hlgh School thlrty members of the freshman class At the same tlme there entered 1nto the Moreland lllgh School fourteen members of the freshman class We were all green and fresh some had come from farms some from small v11lages and perhaps some from the Clty We dwelt IU thls land of learnlng for mne months Now lt came to pass at the beglnnmg of the second school year that these two bands of freshmen came together members of the sophomore class of the Hustonvllle I-hgh School lnhls class was composed of eleven members from Moreland and twenty members from Hustonvxlle rnaklng a total of thlrty one At thc beglnmng of the thlrd year the class was composed of nlneteen members Our class went on lts way and only lost two members Gertrude W1lcher and Mar1eva Hubbard We had an excellent play 'Hobgobhn House coached by M1ss l ee L1ttle. Now thls, the fourth year 1n the hlstory of thls great and wonderful class, has been one of much work and but l1ttle restlng by the wayslde. We had great fun ln selectlng and rece1v1ng our class rlngs. We chose our class colors, Blue and Wh1f6,,. We have spent much tune and hard work on the Belle of the Bluen, our senlor annual, whlch the class u nanlmously declded to dedlcate toMr.Cec1lPurdonm,our prln cxpal The tltle of our senlor play was A Ghost on the l oose coached by Mlss loanna Hurd. The next program sponsored by our class was Class Night. Th1s was under the dlrectlon of Mrs. Logan West. Commencement was a b1g event for the class. We calmly marched down the a1sle ln our caps and gowns to recelve the dlploma for whlch we have worked for four long years. 8 O
