5 4 4 W The Editorial Staff of the CHIEFTAIN respectfully dedicates this 1961 issue to MISS PRISCILLA ALTHEA CLARK in appreciation of her outstanding contributions to Husson College, both as an instructor and administrator. We feel that she deserves much praise for her efficient handling of the Husson Family's purse strings. She also has the under- standing and willingness to assist any member of the student body with their personal problems. In the future we are looking forward to the same quali- ties of wisdom and leadership while she serves as Executive Director in addition to her duties as Treasurer. Needless to say, the Husson Family is proud to have Miss Clark as one of its many members.

at .f A college yearbook has many meanings for all people. For a great many people a yearbook carries with it memories and sentiments relating to college life through the many memorable pictures. These pictures show in vivid example all the happiness and often the success of the activities of the year. As publishers of the 1961 issue of the CHIEFTAIN, the Student Education Association of Husson College has attempted to con- struct the -CHIEFTAIN in such a manner that it will carry the meaning of these virtues to all students. A good yearbook which relates a full year of school life in picture form requires many hours of hard work and efficient planning. This year, our yearbook contains many changes which we hope will be for the best. The CHIEFFAIN staff as a whole deserves many thanks for their cooperative effort in the production of this yearbook. However, special thanks go to Karl B. McGaw for his many fine contributions, as well as the hours he has spent checking and compiling data for this edition. The business manager's job on a yearbook is no small matter. We thank Dolores Renaud for her efficient and exacting performance in this posi- tion. The Chieftain staff as a whole thank Mr. Parker for his sincere in- terest and supervision throughout the process of preparing the 1961 CHIEFTAIN for publication.
