I. a 1 One of the best educational clubs in our school is the Latin Club. It is com- posed of freshman, sophomore, junior and senior students who have studied Latin. This club was organized two years ago by Mrs. XValker. a former teacher and at the present is under the direction of Mr. Taggart. The club has officers who preside over the monthly meetings. Some of the clubis work consists of go- ing back to the history of civilization, to find out the facts concerning the earlv literature of Greece and Rome. The customs of the Roman and Creek people are discussed during the club gatherings. A scientific study of myths flegendsj is also made. These activities aid the students in acquiring more knowledge of the Latin language. 50
