THE HURRICANE' SPORTS By ALBERT MARTIN The season started with the flashy full- back, Bill Beaver, and Lindy Cook back from the service. Their strength helped in the back field of the Redskins. Little Figgie Turner's throwing arm proved to be a great help too. Beaver is a fast shifty back. While Cook moves very fast and a good blocker. Turner is a fast halfback which makes him a good ball carrier. Martin a fast and effec- tive blocker and pass receiver makes him dangerous. Lucas a big and fast end which makes it tough on the ball carriers, his mate Hubert Miller is one of the best tacklers in the state. Sovine, another rough and rugged tackle. Coyner is a fine guard. Bob Beav- er, I would like to praise him for the fine centering and quick thinking. Wilson a very fine guard. Lucas the other end Was very good pass receiver.
