'ill 1 ,., f xi During the Christmas vacation a trip was taken through the southeastern part ll of the state. Due to limited practice before vacation and the inexperience of the li f H team, three of the five games lost during the season were lost on this trip. The Elkton Wildcats Were the only team that the Scalpers won from, and this was the Wildcats fl ' -15 second defeat in eight years on their own floor. lla 1 I t a f . . . ELDON PARKER FRANK GELLERMAN LYLE ELWARD Forfward Cfnter Guard in preparation for the approaching conference schedule, winning them all and avenging the defeat at Flandreau by the Flandreau Indians by a very decisive score. ln the opening conference game Huron Won from Redfield by a large score and repeated it again the following Week in a game at Redfield. Mines and Spearfish next invaded Huron territory and went down to defeat before the then smooth running Scalper machine. Huron's first conference defeat came at the hands of Columbus in the first game of the southern trip. The other two games, with Augustana and Sioux Falls, were easily Won. ' 'Ya N Ninety-th ree
