Not i ik -Z-fizqffff 'Q 1 I -'Iwi' only is It an all-College event but a community affair as well for the I 'tl entire city joins with the College to make it a success. The second annual Poxv-Woxv Day which was held on October 24, surpassed all previous expectations and was acco unted a tremendous success. The events of the day started in the morning when the alumni, students, and friends of fly. College gathered for an impressive service at ' the poplarsu on the north side of the campus. 1 V Formal presentation of the Big Chief, Dr. George I Shannon McCuneg the Povv-Woxv Princess, Miss Elgar , Eva Rogers, and the-Chief,War1'ior, Mr. George I Bell, was made at this time. ' I I Businesshouses, civic organizations, and the I I alumni -as well as student organizations were represented in the 'mammoth parade. As the I I clans gathered around the campus, the green resembled a huge 1 M Indian camp, with its if -, many tepee and canoe- Hoats, surrounded by cowboys with all their trappings, Irma Indian braves decked out in headdresses of brilliant feath- l ers, and charming Indian maidens dressed in gorgeous li blankets. 1: ' 4 l , ' The parade which ' 1 al i '-, l 5 ' .. if l I I , ll li .- V y ll i S1 e t'- 0'1t 'k i cv 115931 was witnessed by thousands Wound up at the College Athletic Field, where the Scalper braves met the Wesleyan Tigers in a terrihc game. In the evening the Indian tribes assembled at the College campus to 'witness the final ceremony. An Indian 4 play, f'The Arrow-NI aker's Daughter , was the main event.
