Employing the squad system which he had seen so successfully operated in his home school, he inaugurated a scheme into the forensic j TZ life of the College which created intense interest and keen competition. r The plan proved a decided success. Not only has this success evidenced itself in victories in the iilkggll scheduled intercollegiate debates, but also in that both a menls and W0men's debate TFT? team has taken an extended debating tour through other states, meeting competition fi 5 of the keenest type. Under his able leadership Huron College has been able to lit establish a very strong and constructive forensic program. Mr. Garrett is a graduate of Knox College.
