Up to the last few minutes of the game Huron was in the lead but a couple of slips and a free throw gave Columbus a Chance to play 'lfreeze ball and Huron lost. The next thing for Huron to do was to Win the city championship and this they easily did in a game with the Huron Independents. The western trip was the last of the season and the Scalpers returned from the Hills with a clean slate, having won all six games of their invasion from the strongest teams in that part of the state.
