Up to the last few minutes of the game Huron was in the lead but a couple of slips and a free throw gave Columbus a Chance to play 'lfreeze ball and Huron lost. The next thing for Huron to do was to Win the city championship and this they easily did in a game with the Huron Independents. The western trip was the last of the season and the Scalpers returned from the Hills with a clean slate, having won all six games of their invasion from the strongest teams in that part of the state. ELDON PARKER FRANK GELLERMAN LYLE ELWARD Forfward Cfnter Guard in preparation for the approaching conference schedule, winning them all and avenging the defeat at Flandreau by the Flandreau Indians by a very decisive score. ln the opening conference game Huron Won from Redfield by a large score and repeated it again the following Week in a game at Redfield. Mines and Spearfish next invaded Huron territory and went down to defeat before the then smooth running Scalper machine.
