We were a mighty scared den of Tigers. Tom Carroll, Richard Welter, and Mary Anderson helped us over our fear those Fast few days, Wereth they grand leaders? Yes, we even gained enough courage to throw our own exclusive partyt Can you recall how Sally Ann Krause and Keith Montgomery were paraded around the gym as the best Hpin-ups in our class? Yes, I do, but our Junior year was even more spectacular. I can still see raindrops in my dreams When I think back on our first Junior-Senior Promt Our theme was April Showersft Richard Welter, Mary Anderson, and Sally Ann Krause did the honors in leading the grand march. Oh, that first Prom was a big success in our social life, but athletics almost overshadowed that event when the football team won the E. S. D. Cham- piunship, Richard Welter, Kenny Hanson, Tom Manfull, and Bud Fisher represented our class on that Fme squad. Our class was also represented in other extracurricular activities. We had our share of classmates on the WV Club, De bate Squad, Quill and Scroll, and the Cheerleading Squad. Also much musical talent was shown by our class' presence in the various music departments, Yes, Betty, those two years were fun, but our last year exceeded them aIL Leading our group that last year were Gordon Wold, Bud Fisher, and J anet Swab. The first main event of our last lap in school was Homecoming What a thrill We received when we won that football game from Sioux Falls, Weather impaired some of our events, but the dance was successful, with Tom Manfull and Sally Ann Krause reigning as Tiger King and Queen. Other royalty of the year included the Hickville King and Queen, Bill Brandenburg and Jean Van Arsdale; and the Basketball King and Queen, Tom Carroll and Joan Osman. Both events were fun, werentt they? Yes. and so were the other dances of the year, which included the Juniore Senior Prom, a parting gift to our class from the Juniors; the Turkey Hop; Christmas Treble Clef Formal; and the last one, the Senior Farewellt Dances did dominate a great share of the year's activitiest but the Treble Clefts and Troubadours' Operetta, The Enchanted IsleJ' took the spotlight in the middle of the year, Also spotlighted for her high quality of character and leadership, Joan Osman was awarded the D, A. R Representative Award, Closing our last fun-fllled year was our Senior Breakfast, preceded by Skip Day, Both served as the successful climax to our three years in Senior High Schoolt Ruth Buck Jean Van Arsdale Richard Welter lwentyminc WANDA An mm Maul mum nub Gm mm G x,.x LAVERNE ALLEN HHmnlrcS Spanish cum Ilu . .
