First we find ourseIVes exploring this fascinating experience We follow the music and find a band at a side show featuring the Dark ann Follies, musical review and the dramatic play, uAmerican Passpork TUESDAY The second day found us at the races. Here come the winners! We have David Buchanan in First place with the blue rib- bon; Norman Buck in second place With the red ribbon, and Alice Allen 1n third place with the white ribbnni Recognition was also given to prominent athletes, musi- cians, and orators. WEDNESDAY tGDvernnr'x myy Fatigued but still interested. we were revived by the Red Cross Nurscs' Helpers. We were enabled to continue our third da- at the fair. Familiar noises tell us that We are sunn to enter a barnyard, Investigating we find it is the annual Turkey Hop in full swing, Sponsored by the Music Department. After this gala time we decided tn take the afternonn off to rest for the big Event in the evening 7the First Juniur-Senior From. The Grand March was led by Norman Buck, Jack Kennedy. and Rnhert Bushong. THURSDAY The next night we attended the Grand Stand Performance. We were entertained by a musical presentation featuring the Treble Clef, Troubadour; and Bobby Carl- tonis Orchestra. Awards were given in speech, music, athletics, and journalism, After the performance the girls entertained themselves at a COVEd Prom, which proved a big success FRIDAY Right this way everybody! Come right in to see the King and Queen of the South Dakota State Fair, Going inside we see the royal pair, Robert Graves and Joy Cran- ston, being entertained at the homecoming events. The attendants; the State Fair Spon- sors; the State Fair Board president, Frank Stewart; the viceepresident, David Buchan- an, and the Secretary-treasurer, Minette Friedman, were also guests. SATURDAY KChildrcn's Dayt Rides on the riding devices only cost onc-half as much today. One might even secure some complimentary tickets. The day starts with an early breakfast for the State Fair attendants. A more serious pro; gram is attended at which time diplomas are presented.
