In the eighth grade we found ourselves going to school in half day ses sions but moving tnto the new Junior high school in the spring of the year A new student thrs year was Lamar Burkett and for part of this year we had a cute, but bashful new teacher named Ray Miller The newly elected Junror high cheerleaders Delores Florlo, Pattr Macioce, and Joyce Under kofler little realized that they would also be senior high cheerleaders in a couple of years At the end of thrs year our proud class recerved their long awaited Jumor high diplomas Reaching what we thought the high spot of our school career, we entered high school as freshmen however we soon learned that we weren t very rmportant to the upperclassmen Our homeroom teachers were Miss Wygant Miss Chandler, and Mrss Wrndau The two new additions were Margaret Skeeter Bateman and Judy Amber Connors In our Sophomore year with Mr Roger Moore and Mr Grossman we en gaged in a number of class parties, featuring the favored game volleyball Also there was a Christmas decoratron COI1tCSt ofcourse Mr MOOFC S h0U1C room won and were the guests of honor at the part given by Mr Grossman s homeroom This year we received Ronald Romeo Zellner and Caryl Olm stead the Jumor year with the orderrng and arrival of our class rings selling at the games, giving our class play State Fair to make money for that wonderful Washrngton trip and the long awaited prom wrth the mysterious oriental theme Who can ever forget that trip with Mr Arthur Moore Mr Roger Moore, Kay Ackerman and Miss Salzman as sponsors'P Thrs year we welcomed Sherry Ferguson Gene Wrrght Carole Hamler and Jean Herm rich At long last we have reached the final step of our high school edu cation Here Mr Perhamus has taken over last honors rn sponsoring the class of 56 Byron Allman Susan Roberts and James Robinson have com pleted our class of forty eight Some of the highlights of our senior year that will long be remembered are Susan Roberts being chosen Homecomlng Queen capable Leroy Brownell leading our class the presentation of Old Doc going to New York dancing at the prom, and at last attending the sad but wonderful Baccalaureate and Commencement Yes at the beginning it seemed like a long Journey but now we loo backward and wonder how rt passed so quickly We now leave Huron High School and we are thankful for all the wonderful times we have had together Louise Kaiser Carol Haggerty I . . . . . .
