SUPERINTENDENT MESSAGE There are many reasons for as many boys and girls from Madison County reaching great heights during their school life and as American citizens after graduation, but the most outstanding and the most far reaching reason is because they attended the State Vocational School at Hunts- ville, and took advantage of so many of the wonderful op- portunities and services it has to offer. We have endeavored to give, to all students, an effec- tive educational program for leadership and for Vocational competency which is related to the real needs and problems of the individual student, and keeping in mind the problems of the community as well. Our school is designed to meet the needs of today and tomorrow, and to use the talents and experience of every student and teacher to operate in: child welfare and school improvement, teachers welfare, community welfare, state welfare, national welfare, and world welfare. Our aim is to keep the State Vocational School the center of a rich and satisfying community life, where each student and teacher will be looked to as a leader of thought and culture, standing for intelligence, patience, goodwill and cooperation in every phase of life. Our desire is to make ourselves strong physically, spiritually, and mentally, and that we shall use our united strength to go down the line for the things we know are necessary to the success of our great cause in a world that desperately needs light. The choice before humanity is, literally, learn--or perish. Study to show thy self approved unto God, a Workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. GI Timothy, 2:l6J I Sincerely, JW 6
