Enjoy Successful Year PRESIDENT David Butler VICE PRESIDENT SECRETARY Mary Ellen Tomlin Julie Van Valkenburgh Student Council president David Butler commented, “The main objective of the Council this year was to bring back to Huntsville High that feeling of school pride. We officers tried to create the kind of projects and activities that would let people realize how much this school really has to offer. So many times this year I could feel this fantastic sense of school spirit among the student body. As soon as that attitude was established, everything just blossomed.” Butler continued, “So much of this year’s success can be attributed to the work of the other officers on the Council. Although they never received all the credit they deserved, they worked long and hard because they believed in the Council and they believed in the school. I think it was this devotion that translated over to the student body and made ’86-’87 such a great year at HHS.” SERGEANT-AT-ARMS Doug Campbell
