FOREIGN LANGUAGE DEPARTMENT Listening, speaking, reading and writing are the goals of the modern foreign languages taught at HHS. Classes in Latin use oral work to help with the reading and writing. Four years of French, Spanish and Latin and three years of German are currently offered. Attendance at the Southern Language Conference in New Orleans, planning and attending workshops and taking students to Europe to study were the winter and summer projects of various faculty members. Better methods and good use of equipment to help students is always the aim of the department as they work and plan for the future. Faculty also worked with students in the friendship dinner and program in April, the Colombian School-to-School program, the AFS exchange program and the planning of the new International Club, formed from the former four Language clubs. , a?
