Mike has a good future in athletics. PHILIP SEXTON A good steady ball player. We could always depend on the trap play being open. He will be missed. WALTER PHILLIPS A real fine kicker and a good pass receiver. A year away from being a great football player. NEIL KEITH One of the best pass receivers in North Alabama. A fine competitor and will be missed next year. CLARENCE OWENS He was hurt most of the year but was a leader the first part of the season. Lack of experience was his only draw back. RONNIE BOLES He was injured most of the year and did not get to perform as was expected to, but was an asset to the ball club. 1 , -t - • — [ 171 ] NORMAN BRADLEY Norman is the most underrated boy on the dub. You could always depend on Norman for a good job. DON HEDDEN Don is the best defensive end in North Alabama. He is a fine competitor that will be missed greatly. DIETER KUBERG Dieter is one of the best blockers on the team. He never missed practice and he never complained. DUNCAN HAMILTON Duncan's character and devotion to the team was always present. I TV' CHARLIE HOOPER Charlie's was another case where injuries prevented him from being an outstanding player. He is one of the best competitors on the ball club and he will be missed next year. IRA ADAMS -Vvj Sir, ■ .V V'vV- Lack of experience hurt Ira but he became better as the year went by. He is one of the finest boys I have ever coached. [ 172 ] BOBBY JACKSON Bobby is a fine open field runner. He did not play his Junior year because of injuries, but he had a fine Senior year. HARMON HASTINGS Pound for pound Harmon was the best on the team. He always performed to his capacity. RONNIE McCLUNG Ronnie developed into a dependable football player. In his Senior year he worked very hard, and he will be missed. KEN BEVIS Ken is only a sophomore, but he played most of the game on offense. He has a fine future in athletics. BOB DAVIS Bob has the potential of being a fine ball player. He has worked hard all year, and wc expect great things out of Bob next year. TERRELL TOUCHSTONE Terrell has developed into one of the best players on the team. He is small in size but big in heart.
