LEROY DRAKE Because of the loyalty she has shown to our school through the many services she has rendered, the interest she has created in English, the enthusiasm, she has inspired for drama, the top plays she has presented, we, the 1955 graduating class, affectionately dedicate this, the nineteenth edition of the Pierian, to Mrs. Leroy Drake.

fyaneuLa'id Proud and grateful for everything are we who were first at the New Huntsville High. This experience that we have shared has brought us so clo:e together that it can never be forgotten. We are conscious of setting a precedent; we feel that classes following us will find this precedent worthy of being continued. To record in enduring form the activities and achievements of the student body and to instill in the hearts of the sons and daughters of Huntsville High a deeper respect for their Alma Mater, has been the purpose in preparing this, the Nineteen Hundred and Fifty-five Pierian.
