O THE SENIOR CLASS PROVHECY In 1967 the class of 1957 held a reunion at the Lakeshore Country Club The owners of the club were LARRY WILLCUR, a wealthy bachelor, and ARNOLD DIERINGER Arnold had won great sums of money during his five year stay in Las Vegas shortly after graduation The b had been designed by JOE DAY, a well known architect, and built by the S k S Construction Company KShu1l and Shockleyl Starting with bare hands and shovel, AL SHOCKLWY worked his way up from the bottom, but his partner, AL SHVLL, had things a bit easier He found a Job with a highly regarded construction company and soon found himself at the top Before the party, the women went through their normal procedure They visited BETTY BAKER'S Beauty Bar to have their hair fixed in the new Par isian fashions While under the hair dryer, the women rem'nisced about by gone days since graduation First we hear SIDNE ODEN, a well known musician, telling of a newspaper article she recently read The article told about the new world record for home runs in one season set by GLEN 'MO' SLFSSER 'Mo 7 she says, 'signed up with the New York Yankees shortly after graduating His amazing fielding and home run aver age has brought him greet fame He set a new record of ninety one home runs per season ' We also find that ARLEN SANDS went to college and played basketball After four years of record breaking wins he went into professional basketball VIRGINIA LEE a private secretary for Rockefeller Industries in New York, said she saw a billboard, on her way West, advertising BOB NORVOOD and his show ponies Bob kept on working with his father and now has the largest string of show ponies in the United States Bob has traveled to many foreign countries showinp his ponies in international horse shows JO ANN FALK entered and said she had just been to DAVE WECHSLER'S ranch Jo Ann nas a job with the Los Angeles Police Department as a filing clerk Hearing that Dave owned a ranch she thought she would drop by and say Whello' to Dave and his charming wife Dave is now the owner of the largest most extravagant, ranch style estate in the Midwest After having their hair done, they went to NAN WERRICK'S Clothing Cen ter to buy gowns for the evening party The fellows went to JUDY TULLHGRT'S Florist Shoppe to get some beauti ful corsages created by none other than Miss Judy herself Both of these shops were located in the West Door Plaza, the largest shopping center in the world Entertainment was provided by some of the musically talented members of the class of '57 The 'Stardusters ' comprised of CAROLYN VOLDENHM'ER now an elementary school teacher, SUE BAILFY, a secretary in the Little Women's Club, and RUTH ANN POBBS now a commercial teacher at Technical High School in Indianapolis Indiana, entertained Also entertainlrg there were JIM WINE and his 'Rhythm Brewersn Jim, while studying engineering in col lege kept up his love for music by playing in the college band He now has alggeat band made famous all over the world by playing at well known night c u s Z4 . , , ' 9 Just as CHARLOTTE YAKE, also a secretary in New York, began to speak, I U ' n 0 Q - A .4 . , , . J , I y u A I ' g During intervals throughout the night, PAUL SUNDVRMAN, who had gained great fame as a soloist with his bass voice, and JOHN UTWNUCK, also e solo ist, sang Paul has sung mostly in the big cities and aspired to singing in the Metropolitan Opera John entertains with his band at Palm Beach The honored members at the party were introduced by MARVIN LARR well known emcee of television who is fast becoming another Ed Sullivan 'One of our members,' he announced 'has gained great fame in the pol itical world He became interested in politics while working at one of the local filling stations He was often engaged in political conversation and soon found himself elected as city councilman And here he is, JACK COTGAN' NAnd now, Marvin continues I would like to announce the success of another of our political minded members, RWX BAXTFR who, after four years of law school, entered politics as a full time Job During the announcements, the folks began to smell a wonderful aroma of food Out in the kitchen was to be found one of the greatest cooks of his Army Division, LARRY LAHR He is now a famous chef associated with the Boiling Beefers, a group composed of well xnown cooks from all over the world whlch travels throughout the United States to cater for large banquets The party had scarcely gotten under way when the telephone rang and was answered by HANDA CUNDIFF, one of the secretaries at the club It was for 'ANURA BRYAN, the head laboratory technician at the Albuquerque Mercy Bos pital The message was relayed by one of the absent members of the party Soon a'ter this interruption, everyone's attention was turned to a commotion from outside Instantly th door popped open and there stood JOE COBLF a play boy, vith a beautiful brunette bv his side Joe inherited a large sum of money and bought everything he needed and some things he didn' need The latter list, being the biggest included a pink and black Jaguar with gold trimmings in which he toured the world Behind him was another couple 'Boxer Boy' JERRY KNIGUT and his date, a six foot Texan Jerry has been associated with the International Boxing Commission for the past six years As he came in, he handed Marvin a telegram from HANK LASR It read HUNTINGTON TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1957, cfo LAKESHORF COUNTRY CLUB ALH3 QUVRGUE , NVW MEXICO DEAR CLASSMATES STOP SORRY I COULD NOT BE WITH YM: SYOP BIG HOT ROD R CE TONIGHT STOP HAVE CAR ENTVP D AND HAVE GOOD CHANCF OF WINNIDG S OP LOOK ME VP AT ANYTIVE STOP 'HOT ROD HANK LAHR' Although lt was impossible for the entire class to be present at the party, everyone had been accounted for in some way or another So, after a glorious evening of fun and laughter, the guests went merrily and wearily on their way This was a night always to be remembered by the 1957 class of Huntington Township Pat Duree Max Kohr Z5 ' A-I , .
