nu I+ +I nu Alumni An active organization of the Huntington Township School has been operating for the past seven years. The original organization was eiected on the last day of school in 1928 by the class of '28. The following oficers were selected at that time: President, Heaston Fleming: Vice-President. Mary Bruss: Secretary-Treasurer, Cyril Day. Much credit is due these three individuals for the continued success of the organization. The first Friday night after the Sectional Basketball Tournament has been reserved for the alumni organization banquet. For the past several years the members of the graduating class of the current year have been invited as guests of honor at the banquet. A friendly competitive spirit has been aroused between the alumni organization and the school in the form of basketball and baseball con- tests. During the past year the alumni teams pushed the varsity teams to the limit in both basketball and baseball before the varsity teams were able to eke out a victory in each case. It is probable that in the future this rivalry may include debates as well. The alumni have shown their loyalty to the school in many ways. The interest shown by them has encouraged the organizations within the school to function to the best of their ability. The alumni members have also supported the school functions financially and have thereby made their success possible. May this harmonious relationship continue to grow as the alumni group increases in size and the school continues to function from year to vear. The 1934-35 officers as pictured on the opposite page are as follows: President, Dale Ware: Secretary-Treasurer, Mary Smith: Vice-President, Paul Byrd. POST GRADUATE COURSES The officials and teachers of the Huntington Township High School have been very glad to offer additional work to graduate students. Each year a few students have taken advantage of this opportunity. The stu- dents who have taken work during the year 1934-35 are pictured on the opposite page: Lee Waltz, Urshel Heiney, and James Barnes. nn u++l ln
