Clad! ffidorg One cold day as we sat in the Commercial Room, we found ourselves thinking back over our school years at Huntington High School. We recalled our Freshma.n year when we actually had all of seventeen students in our class. After our formal introduction into high school by means of Freshman Initiation, we were finally on the road which we were to travel in order to be prepared for whatever opportunities the world might be saving for us. Our only financial adventure for that year was a movie, The Black Pinto. Much to our surprise, this turned out to be the biggest movie success that year. The remainder of our Freshman year passed slowly, as we have often been told, all Freshman years have a way of doing. However, the time finally came when we received our report cards which read, Promoted to Grade Ten. We entered our Sophomore year with a lot of enthusiasm and big plans for our Sophomore Hop. As a financial venture, it will never go down in school history, but it will go down in the history of our hearts as a fond memory. You see, right after this hop, several of our classmates left us--two of them going as far as Florida to take up residence. Before the close of our Sophomore year, we had the excitement of choosing our class rings. We, the Class of '4-9, had to be differentf We chose oval rings while in previous years they had always chosen square rings. Upon entering our junior year, we had the pleasure of making a final payment on our rings so that we might begin wearing them. During the year, we undertook several financial adventures, profiting on some, losing on others, and once in awhile, breaking even. The one event we looked forward to the most that year was our junior Prom. We put every effort we could into it in order to make it a success--and it was, fsocially, if not financially.l As the old saying goes, A good time was had by all --even when clean- up time rolled around. Following our junior year, our thoughts turned to our Senior year, and most of all, to our class trip to Washington. Our biggest problem was money: We started the year off with a Bang. Everything that we have had up to this day, has been a big success. We have a few more plans to carry through, and then, if everything goes well, we will all have one grand time in Washington. After our return from our class trip to Washington, we will make preparations for our last adventure together-- Graduation, From there, the road turns off with a separate fork for each one of us. But no matter how far we might travel on these roads, we shall never forget that big wide road we traveled together--even over the hardest bumps. Jacky Caron john Eddy 40
