ll The fine arts, drama, music, literature, and painting are all a part of the curriculum of Huntington High School. These subjects are electives. They tend to develop an appreciation tor the beautiful. The music department, including band, glee club, and orchestra provides emotional and creative experiences, and in all these fields, the more talented may advance. The art department develops skills in the use of water color and oil. Each year an exhibit displays the splendid creative work done. The journalism depart- ment gives its students opportunities to write tor the Tatler and the Hunt- ingtonian. A good library encourages the students to read widely, The speech department, though basically concerned with effective speech, also encour- ages drama.
