Meet Me Un The Midway HHS students are always ready to have fun and one of the best places for that is the Louisiana State Fair. Luckily for the Raid- ers, Shreveport is the proud host of the fair, so we don't have to travel far. Riding rides, eating great foods, playing difficult games, and seeing exotic animals are all part of the fair. But the best part is walking around with your friends and having a good time. Some students want to find out which ride is the wildest and craziest. They do this by riding everything they can. Others have just one ride. If they can ride just that one ride, then they will be O.K. until next year. State fair food is always exciting. Foot long -l hot dogs, meat pies, candy apples, elephant ears, cotton candy- all these foods are best when bought at the fair. Then there are the games. Giant teddy bears are always the best prize and the hardest to win. But of course every girl wants her guy to win one for her. The fair is something we look forward to every year. It is a tradition in our town that both young and old enjoy. This year some of our students tried their luck playing games. Did they win? Well, some did and some didn't. But everyone will remember the fun they had at the state fair! I hope I can slam this!! I wish he would win me a teddy bear! Fair Student Life

M Girls' Night Gut l Each year we have the traditional Sadie Hawkins dance which is the old custom of the girl asking the guy. This event, which was December 4, is always one of excitment and is something memorable. Winter Wonderland, which was this year's theme, really helped boost-off the Christmas spirit and helped us look forward to the new year. At Huntington, the girls choose match- ing shirts and take the guys out to dinner. After arriving at the dance she purchases pictures usually gets married fwhich ends at midnightj and takes him on the dance floor to dance the night away. As with any school function there is some learning involved. Each girl ends the night with better appreciation for the guys. The guys' love this because it helps the girls understand what they go through. 'N- if Explain this Kacee!! ' Sadie Hawkins Student Life Here these girls left their dates to get down, get down . . .
