New Look Huntington Gets A 963,000,000 Facility We opened the 1987-88 school year with a new attitude and a new look. A 3 million dollar addition to our school and a 2 thou- sand dollar PTSA landscaping project were developed. In this project, students and fa- cility received a new gymnasium, a new auditorium, a new computerfmath hall. This really helped boost spirit and pride in the school and the community. The faculty at Huntington looked for- ward to a new year. For the first time each teacher had their own individual classroom. A new computerfmath hall really helped this matter. Huntington received one of the most modern computer labs in the parish. Teachers are very excited about this because this will be available for future years and will increase the learning atmosphere. When Dr. Archey came to Huntington, there was no cafeteria, no auditorium, and the gym would only seat a third of the stu- dent body. During his reign as principal, he promised to try to get Huntington the fa- cilities it had been deprived of. It took him ten years and a lot of help and hard work but his dream was accomplished. Study hard and strive for excellence in everyth- ing you do when you seek to make your mark at Huntington make it good by having a good clean record and you can help make Huntington the best school ever.
