DR. AND MRS. HUBERT SEARCY First Family of Huntingdon College 1938-1967 For many years . . . the familiar faces of Dr. and Mrs. Searcy . . . have graced our campus . . . and now upon Dr. Searcy's resignation . . . we will miss them both . . . We will miss Dr. Searcy's . . . understanding and appreciation of the needs . .. and problems of students and faculty alike . . . Having not only given a major portion of his life to Huntingdon .. . Dr. Searcy has also fostered the tradition of academic freedom . . . has had an interest in civic affairs . . . has been identified with cultural and business interests . . . has been a loyal, respected, and active churchman . . . and . . . has been an effective representative of the interests of the college. Mrs. Searcy has also given a major portion of her life to Huntingdon . . . being gracious . . . friendly . .. hospitable . . . interested . . . sympathetic . . . understanding . . . Faculty and students alike will miss . . . their warm smiles, friendly ways . . . familiar walks on the green . . .
