He is the clean hord strength In platforms, backdrops and scenery. He is the sharp sweet smell of pipe tobacco And the sturdiness of a brown leather jacket He is a smile and a greeting thrown from a familiar old gray jeep He is both master and servant and therefore good Gruff at times, but only through authority and resjx)nsibilitv He is the dirt ,the sweat, the work behind the scenes His is the |ob of nails and saws and paint. Of cutting grass and pruning trees. The thankless tasks that ensure our comfort and provide for our convenience In silence he moves through the years, Growing like the trees he gathered rom the woods ond planted here A man in everything he does And yet, one 'ime lie kept o baby owl Through our realization of this We love him more for being what we all could wish to be And in appreciation TO MR.
