reslden I s B The class of 1936 has had one of the most eventful careers of any slnce the foundmg of the hlgh school When the class entered 1n 1932 the school employed the study hall system whlch was modlfied to the present form When the benlols look back on the last four years they observe changes for the better 1n the school and themselves They feel that they have been ln a small measure responslble for the advanc e whlch H H S has made From the 1n1t1al organlzatlon of the class to the last meet mg the Seniors have asserted thelr mdependence If they d1d not approve of the manner IH whlch thmgs were belng done they Sald so they llked to have everythlng thelr own way The class has rece1ved much cr1t1csm because of th1s deservedly 111 some cases but It IS certalnly much better than belng led around by the nose Thls show of sp1r1t was one of the out standlng characterlstlcs of the class of 1936 There are five thlngs of Whlch the class IS partlcularly proud and WhlCh It conslders lts greatest accomphshments I Athletlcs there has been a great number of 36 men on every athletlc team durmg the last three years II Senlor Class Play whlle 1t was not a tremendou financlal success the play was one of the best ever produced by the students of H H S III Pubhcatlons great progress has been made and better perlodlcals produced IV Forensics It IS safe to say that the classes of 35 and 36 have done more for Forenslcs ln the school than all other classes comblned V Junlor Prom a soclal trlumph We of the class of 1936 treasure these achlevements they represent ldeals fulfilled and tasks completed It IS ou hope that the classes Wh1Ch follows us Wlll do yet mole for the school Ou1 challenge to ou1 successors IS embodled ln ou1 class motto Excelslor hlgher and yet more hlgh FRANK BECKEL Pres1dent , . . .
