Y-Teens Directed by lVlrs. Little, the Y-Teens sold cokes, hot dogs, ice cream and popcorn at football and basketball games. They plan to brighten up the school yard by means of flower beds. They also plan to keep helping their pen pals overseas as much as possible by means of packages and letters. The following girls served as officers this year: Norma Jean Knust, President: Marilyn Pflug, Vice-Presidentg Ruth Utz, Secretaryg Vivian Schnellenberger, Treasurerg Joy Hilsmeier, Chaplain. Under the supervision of lVlr. Tucker, the members of Hi-Y also sold refreshnlents at football and basketball games. Two Hi-Y members, Richard Tredway and Keith Skelton, traveled to Marion, Indiana to attend the State lli-Y Convention and to learn what other clubs are doing to help their si-bool. The club has also helped to promote better sportsmanship at basket- ball games. Science Club The Science Cluh was organized to create a greater interest in science in the school. The cluh makes its own programs through a program committee and the club memhcrs give the programs. lVlr. Pellet, club sponsor, has given the cluh a great deal of assistance in carrying out its work. Among the outstanding projects of the year were ,lack Lukemeyer's demonstration of photographic print making and Eugene Purdue's remote controlled model automobile made from salvaged pin-ball machine parts. Our local club has joined the Indiana Junior Academy of Science, which keeps records of the works of the different science clubs in Indiana. Uur cluh is also a memher of the Science Clulms of America. Our club consists of fifty-four members, some of whom were absent when this picture was taken. Officers are chosen each semester.
