Y-Teens Directed by lVlrs. Little, the Y-Teens sold cokes, hot dogs, ice cream and popcorn at football and basketball games. They plan to brighten up the school yard by means of flower beds. They also plan to keep helping their pen pals overseas as much as possible by means of packages and letters. The following girls served as officers this year: Norma Jean Knust, President: Marilyn Pflug, Vice-Presidentg Ruth Utz, Secretaryg Vivian Schnellenberger, Treasurerg Joy Hilsmeier, Chaplain. Under the supervision of lVlr. Tucker, the members of Hi-Y also sold refreshnlents at football and basketball games. Two Hi-Y members, Richard Tredway and Keith Skelton, traveled to Marion, Indiana to attend the State lli-Y Convention and to learn what other clubs are doing to help their si-bool. The club has also helped to promote better sportsmanship at basket- ball games. Student Council This organization, inaugurated only three years ago in Huntingburg High School, is gradually achieving its purpose. Representatives are elected from each home room and the president and vice-president must he either juniors or seniors. The council works with the principal, the superin- tendent, and the teachers. The council's main purpose is to carry on extra-curricular activities and to further the policies of the school.
