THE SOPHOMORES The class of '51 pursued its course toward graduation by choosing early in September their leaders-Howard McLaughlin, Hrlie Logsdon, Clesta Winkler, and Don Sakel. Seeking pleasure along the way, early last fall they encarnped in the upper hall for a round of old fashioned games and dances. Hll sorts of devices had to be used by Mr. Wilson and Miss Padgett in head- ing off their rascally maneuvers. However, they corralled them well enough so that they were able to excell in athletics and assume duties in all the school's clubs.

THE FRESHMEN These tenderfeet joined the caravan for a four-year journey over the High School trail with dreams of diplomas awaiting them at their destination. lnexperienced, but capable and willing, they elected Pat Gerlach, Paul Ue- belhor, Bob Hoing and Ioe Becher, as their drivers. With Mr. Pellett and Mr. Fisher lay the task of toughening-up these young uns. Pllready they boast of having fourteen members in the band, a number of boys on the second team, a strong G.H.Q. delegation, active student council representatives, peppy yell leaders, and members in Library and Science Clubs. Looking beyond the horizon, we see thrills and adventure for these callow itinerants.
