BALANCE SHEET OF THE HUNTERS OF THE HARDWOOD DEBITS Nov 4 Our Hunters opened the season with a bang, Nov. 18 taking Dale for an easy victory 4lf28. Nov. ll The Hunters first invasion was a successful one, defeating Orleans by the score of 2448. Nov 19 Striving hard for victory, Mount Olympus was turned back by the Hunters by a lopfsided D . a- '7 score of 3046. LL' ' Nov 23 The highly touted jasper Wildcats went down in defeat at the hands of the Hunters, 26f23. Blemker led the Hunters attack with 12 points. Dec. 16 Reit: lvlemorial of Evansville was plastered by the score of 24f15, Gasser and Blemker led the Hunters. DSC' 9 Dec. 23 The Hunters romped over the Petersburg Indians 37-22. Day led the Hunters with 14 points. jan. fi Hunters won a hard fought game from Gibault -Ian 21 by the score of 247 I5. jan. 7 The Hunters soundly trounced Oakland City 3720. 'Ian I4 Vv'est Baden was swept off their feet by the ,limi 37 Hunters rush and were snowed under 3925. jan. 20 The Hunters scored an upset by defeating jasper Academy by the score of 2Of8. Feb. 3 Dmonville was the next victim, bowing before -lan' 14 the cnfrush of our live 22fl6. Gasser seemed to be the main spring. Feb. IU The Hunters trounced Owensville 27f17. Feb. I7 Playing a wonderful game, the Hunters pulled a great surprise in running wild over the Mar' 4 strong New Albany team. Classed by almost every one as the underdog before the game, the Hunters went into the game to give all they had in an attempt to emerge victorious. They outfhit, outesmarted, and outfplayed the Bulldogs to the tune of 208. Feb. 24 Princeton fell before the Hunters' attack 3620. Feb. 25 Hunters wind up season by defeating Winslow 4flfl1. CREDITS The Hunters lost their second invasion in a hard fought battle against Paoli. The game was hotly contested and Paoli emerged the victor by the score of 22f20. The Red Devils of French Lick handed the Hunters their second defeat of the season by giving them a sound trouncing by the largest score of the season 40722. Cannelton scored an upset in defeating the Hunters in an overtime by the score of 25-21 Petersburg tied the honors by defeating the Hunters 24f22. Gasser led with 7 points. After having a l5flO lead at the half, the boys were overf taken in the last half to be defeated 27f23 by Tell City. Hunters lost the Lostoka Tourney to jasper in the initial game by the score of 3289. Gasscr and Day shone for the Hunters. Drawing jasper for their first game in the sectional, the Hunters were given an equal break but they did not seem to be up to their best form and went down in def feat by the score of 24728.
