HUNTERS OF THE. HARDWOOD SENIORS WHO HAVE PLAYED THEIR LAST GAMES EOR H. H. S. Ben Finke was never out jumped at center this year and he showed steady im' provement until the end of the year. Ben will be a great loss to the team. Davis Enlow, although taking basketball in the latter part of his high school career, showed that he had the stuff. Ike Blemker started the year at forward and was shifted to guard but this did not hinder him in the least. Wheii Ike got started he was hard to stop. Gruben Day has made All Sectional team for the last two years. He says, I'll go around my man if it is possible. This motto has netted him many points. Red Mundy, having but one year on the squad, was a snappy ball handler and also had an eye for the basket. Wiiidyf Songer would talk his man out of making a basket, and then make it himself. THE BOYS THAT WILL RETURN TO H. H, S. NEXT YEAR Babe Casser, the fastest man on the squad, plays a brand of ball that is hard to beat. Babe has one more year on the squad. johnny Stimson showed great floor work this season. As he is only a sophomore we will expect plenty from him in the next two years. Freddy Rauscher will be back next year to show the opposition that all of the Hunters are not as small as they look. Bob Shurig is the smallest boy on the squad but he showed that he did not take size to be in the game by the way he pulled for the team. OTHERS ON RESERVE SQUAD Those who have seen less action and who will return for several years are, Vsfoodrow Brooner, Will-1'ed lvlaas, Robert Behrens, Cato Renner, Paul Renner, Sam Ingle and Grant Link. COACHES AND MANAGER Coach Bretz, a great eoaeh and a pal of every boy on the squad had his first year in coaching and proved that he has a future that will net him many victories. Assistant Coach Garrison was a great hand in helping Coaeh Bret: in any way that he could. He coached his squad to a rather good year, although they did not look so promising at the beginning of the season. Francis Blessinger, the manager, was always prompt and ready to do what ever he could in helping the squad. Page Twenty-six
