TI-IE DIARY OF A SENIOR September, 1929: Well here I am in high school at last! Sure thought I'd never get here, but it's a swell feeling even if we are laughed at and called green by the others. But just wait and see, we will show them whether we're green or not. A lot of others who came over last january have gained a little on us. January, 1930: I feel like I have been in high school for years. We sure have some class. We're in the band, orchestra, and the operetta. I even played basketball. September, 1930: Well here I am starting my second year in high school and do I feel big. Gur class advisor this year is Mr. Mallory. January, 1931: The Girls' Athletic Association was organized this year and several members of the class have joined this organization. They can't call us green ally IHOIE. September, 1931: I have just entered my third year in the dear old Alma Mater and found that I had quite a few more responsibilities upon my shoulders than last year. Gur class sponsors this year are Miss Dufendach and Mr. Martin. We have elected our class oilicers for this year and the main event is just about here, for we have ordered our class jackets. january, 1932: I finally received my jacket, and is it bright! Now I ani looking forward to the juniorfSenior reception, another outstanding event for my junior year. The Girl Reserves and the I'IifY were organized last semester with several of my classmates taking an active part. September, 1932: Well here I am bearing the title of a Digniiied Senior , proud, and how! We have just elected our class officers for this year and they are Glenn Songer, President: Charles Finke, VicefPresidentg Lorraine Stein. Secretary: and Hubertina Schepers, Treasurer: with Miss Mollet and Mr. Parker acting as class advisors. Gur class rings have been purchased and I am waiting eagerly for mine. April, 1933: After rejecting the overall proposal for the reception, we decided to come in our school suits and dresses. It's the depression. May, 1933: Our play, THE THREE GRACESS, was quite a hit. Now it's just a few days 'till Commencement. Wonder what I'll dofget a job? Any way diary, I'll have to close you for a while. Page Thirtten
