Em! O A 72 E l,l,l,l,O, We started as two small rural schools of eight grades in 1918. Growing, we decide to consolidate. This consolidation lasted through niany trials and has proved to be the best solu- tion. Since we kept growing, we consolidated again with plans for a new school which would accornrnodate 2, OOO students. These plans were carried out, and now 1-Iuntertown I-ligh School and all that it has for will leave as the last class of seniors graduates. Forty-eight graduating classes of 1500 seniors have shared in our thrills and events of a year. I-luntertown's traditions probably will not be carried over--but those of us who were graduated frorn here will always rernernber the school song, school colors, the bi-weekly newspaper, and the mascot, a roar- ing wildcat. We will always renfiernber the lasting friendships we made, the organizations we joined where we gained leadership and val- uable experience, the sports where we excelled enthusiastically and with an abundance of energy against our challenging rivals, and the classes where we broadened our knowledge of the world and all the worlds problems. Although the year is over and there will never be another l-luntertown High School or any of its traditions, we, the students, will always remember that 1968 was the End of an Era for a great school. 2
