Nature provided some wild moments with a snowstorm that stopped communica- tions for several days and tornadoes that shut off all electricity and heat. There were exciting nnoments provided by sports activites throughout the year. Throughout the season, all the basketball games provided much excitnnent. The twice won battles played over Busco dur- ing regular and tournament season help spark the spirit we needed. Several new records were set in track. These were all tense mioments for everyone. The Band was very pleased to be sel- ected to play for both Hubert Humphrey and Richard M. Nixon durmg their visits to Fort Wayne for the Presidential campaign. In the spring, banquets, special awards, the Prom, and term papers provided some fascinating and often hectic nnoments.
