Gayle Green is shown here with her exhibit from the Regional Science Fair. She won a first placing and re- ceived a Dental Award and an Army Award. Working hard on some tough Algebra problems, these Freshmen boys get instructions from teacher, Mr. Merryman. As Dave White prepares a Chemistry experiment, Leslie Roberson stands by with a fire extinguisher- just in case. MIND OVER MATTER Math and Science play an important part in the school life at Huntertown. Freshmen find Mrs. Alter and Mr. Merryman very able teachers of Gen- eral Math and Algebra as they enter the confusing world of exponents, square roots, and tangents. Older students further their mathematic ed- ucation with instructions from these teachers and Mr. Black. In the Science department Mr. Miller and Mr. Black instruct the stu- dents in Biology, Chemistry, and Physic s. Mark Helge, a Sophomore Biology student, also exhibited at the Region- al Science Fair. He won a Dental Award and a trip to the State Dental Convention. At Left: Norman Hursh and Larry Paul receive instruc- tions on handling snakes from their owner. The snakes were an attraction in the Biology class this year. 14
